About Us
Fiore Fedeli Snyder Carothers, LLP (The “Firm”) was formed January 1, 2005 as the successor to the firms of The Fiore, Fedeli & Snyder Firm, P. C. and John F. Carothers, CPA. The regional firm operates primarily in Central Pennsylvania and has offices both in Altoona and State College. The Firm has four principals, all of whom are Certified Public Accountants and members of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, a staff of twenty other full and part-time professional, para-professional and clerical staff is utilized to deliver a wide variety of services.
The Firm’s philosophy is to provide quality services with integrity and objectivity and to ensure that all work product is completed timely and in a professional manner. In order to accomplish these objectives, a working relationship is established with all levels of client management and staff. This interaction provides an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and efficiency throughout client organizations.
To remain technically competent, all professionals regularly attend continuing education programs and the Firm maintains extensive library resources necessary to respond to client needs.
Another tenet upon which quality audit service is based, notwithstanding professional requirements, is the principle of independence in the auditor-client relationship. The Firm maintains its independence of all audit/attestation clients in accordance with the standards established by both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the General Accounting Office (GAO).
In addition to continuing education programs, the Firm has developed a network of other practitioners with whom they consult or are consulted. These arrangements result in operating efficiencies that would otherwise be unavailable to a small firm operating independently. It also provides for the exchange of information and ideas on various technical matters whereby the relative strengths of any particular individual can be brought to bear on a subject or problem.
